This is the FIRST January in my adult life that I can remember not being on some restrictive diet, feeling gross and bad about myself.
It was a really good feeling Jan 1 to feel strong and look back on the past 6 months that got me here. I wasn't perfect or restrictive over the holidays but I stayed consistent.
I didn't approach holidays with the typical all or nothing - throw in towel and wait until Jan 1 to diet it off. I feel strong and happy and grateful I am not starting some yo yo diet this January.
Super thankful for basportsnutrition for taking me on as her athlete this year. Since March I’ve made some amazing growth and progress mentally and physically as an athlete. My team behind me means everything to me really favoring in nutrition and recovery has changed my game.

I started working with Katie in July of 2023. Being 45 I had different goals than when I started previous “diets/plans/cleanses etc.” in the past. My goals included building muscle, losing fat, fueling my body for the new workout regime I started in April and feeling good about my body.
Gone are the days of trying to be skinny at the cost of being miserable only to gain back all the weight plus some. When I started with Katie, I had never done macros before nor did I understand how they worked. Through the weekly check-ins with Katie, I gained knowledge and confidence while hitting goals along the way.
She is patient and honest and has kept me from losing it on those hard weeks. Going on 4+ months of working with Katie and I have lost 22bs, 6.5” from stomach, 4.7” from waist, 4.6” from hips, gained muscle that is visible in the weekly photos, hit multiple PR’s in the gym and created healthy habits that seem like second nature.
Katie helped me navigate vacations along the way while continuing to progress. I am proud to look back at the work I have put in with Katie’s expertise and look forward to continuing.
I can’t tell you how excited I am to be working with you. Just comparing prior cuts to working with you, I’ve gotten more calories than even my maintenance before.
