Instructions
Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until they become translucent.
Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Pour in the crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the sauce and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Stir in the shredded chicken breast and cooked pasta into the sauce, ensuring the pasta is well-coated.
Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the pasta and stir until the cheese is melted and the pasta is evenly coated.
Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Serve the tomato basil pasta in bowls, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
